Television Producer

Having worked in front of the camera since 1984, it was not surprising that Michael’s career would lead to Television Producing.

Firstly in 1993 for the Victorian Department of Education, Michael produced The Safety Zone; 4 live-to-air educational programs on child safety.

Then from 2003 -2005 he produced the classic game show: The Price Is Right for the Nine Network, followed by the hugely popular Bert’s Family Feud, also for Nine, starring the legendary Bert Newton as host.

2007 saw Michael work as Talent Producer for Australia's Got Talent for the Seven Network - and in 2008, he produced Comedy Slapdown for Foxtel's Comedy Channel.

2011 had Michael working as Talent Producer on Go Lingo! a children's program for the ABC, as well as Producer of the triumphant return of It's A Knockout for Channel Ten.

In 2014 Michael saw his return as Executive Producer of SELLOUT  for the Seven Network. This was a world first transactive game show of his devising that rewarded viewers with discounts off the same prizes that the game show contestants were winning.

Audience Warm-up
What do you do when 300 disparate people walk into a space, and you want them all to react as one? Put them before Michael Pope

Since 1990, Michael has been Television Producer’s  first choice when it comes to ‘warming up’ an audience. Whether it’s the steps of Parliament House before 30,000 people for the Australia Day Concert, or entertainment’s Night of Nights -  the Logies, or any number of game shows, sitcoms and special events, Michael is the one.

“It’s all about focus", says Michael, as he conducts an audience through the laughter and applause as needed for a television event.  A journey that can be applied to any assembly of people.

If you want your group to be entertained and ‘warmed-up’, perhaps before a keynote speaker or to break the ice at a conference then the years of experience Michael has had as ‘Audience Warm-Up’ can be called on here.
